Make a pit or frame to required size. Ideally, treat area with weed killer and then spread a permeable membrane within this area to discourage any future weed or grass growth.

Choose your required depth - in many play situations 100mm per square metre will suffice. BS EN 1177:1998 guidelines for impact absorption.

Spread Playground Rubber Chippings evenly, making sure any rigid framework is well outside the likely area of fall - then let them play!
For best results, treat the ground with a pre-emergent to kill any existing weed (following the manufacturers guidelines) and then apply a landscaping fabric to the area. Apply Landscaping Rubber Chippings directly on top of the fabric to a depth of approximately 4cm. As a guide, we recommend one ten kilo bag will cover an area of up to .75 of a square metre.
